Sarah
Teacher, Joeys and Educational Leader
I have always wanted to be a kindergarten teacher. I clearly remember myself at kinder finger painting. I thought if I could do this for a job how fun would it be! Now I realise how much learning there is in such a simple experience. I enjoy documenting this learning to make visible how important Early Childhood Education is. I have been working in Early Childhood for over 20 years. This has included teaching in kindergarten, early intervention and music. My husband and I have two children. We love traveling and have done two big trips around Australia in our caravan.
Samantha

I have been a Kindergarten Teacher in the Chelsea area for about 12 years. Previously, I have taught sessional kindergarten in a variety of settings and locations during which time, I have had 5 children. I am passionate about Early Childhood Education and supporting children and families during this critical period of learning in children's young lives. I love that Early Childhood teaching and learning is child-centered, flexible, responsive and lot of fun! In my spare time, I love to be in nature, camping on the Murray River with my family and 2 dogs, Maggie and Lucy.
Fleur

I am passionate about creating an inclusive play based environment where the children feel safe, secure, respected and nurtured as they learn, explore, create, discover and have fun! Having lived in the Chelsea/Edithvale area for over 20 years I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I live with my husband and 2 boys who like to acknowledge they are taller than me. When I'm not working, I love spending time with my family and friends, keeping fit, going to the beach, shopping and going on holidays.

My Interests are: Spending time with family (two daughters and four grandchildren) friends, seeing a good movie, having great conversations, listening to music, reading, motorsports, visiting or virtual art exhibitions and live theatre. I have always loved my job and enjoy getting to know not only the children each year but also building relationships with families. Helen
Extended Care Educator
I am thrilled to join the team at Chelsea heights kindergarten. As a Chelsea local I have had the privilege of seeing my own children attend the kindergarten over the years and understand the value of a close and supportive community. I am passionate about education in the early years and see young children as adults in training. I believe in strong connections through honest conversations and respectful interactions.
Spending time with young people, extending their learning and understanding about the world around them brings me joy and pride. I believe human beings are life long learners and I look forward to fostering a love of learning and enquiry through play, at Chelsea heights Kindergarten.
Aside from education, my other passions lie in food and nature. I enjoy spending time in nature, walking on our beautiful beach, camping with my family and making memories. When not enjoying the great outdoors I am cooking, baking or researching the next restaurant or market I will visit.

I'm so excited to be apart of the staff at Chelsea Heights kinder. My daughter started here in 2020 and i joined the committee as grants officer, vice president, president and now as Admin officer. When i put my name down as a parent helper i realised how much i'd love to work with children and foster their first steps in education. So i decided to get my diploma in early childhood and education. I love being able to help the children, be their friend and create amazing experiences for them. I cover the extended care educators lunch breaks from time to time. I am equally passionate about being the office manager and work 3 days a week in the office.
